Some years ago, as I was making wire rings with beads, I thought "why
not make names out of the same gold and silver wire".
When I started to create
that first name necklace (for "Ashley") I was hooked. I began to realize just how
beautiful the necklace looked, so then I made a bracelet/anklet combo and
finally a ring. Looking back on that first experience, I remembered that it
was really fun. I had at that time a summer beach store where I sold other
jewelry items, so I put my first name necklace (Ashley) on display and in
three minutes it sold.
I did not realize what I had stumbled upon. Since that day everywhere I go,
people love to watch me make their names in gold and/or silver, for their
families and themselves. To see the faces of the people when they see their
names being made is priceless. It gives me so much satisfaction, even more
then money can buy ~ I truly enjoy the process as much as the customers do!
As my wife has said, watching me create a name is like "writing in air".
